Send Bitcoin using Sparrow wallet

Phantom does not protect Ordinals, rare sats, or BRC-20 tokens during Bitcoin transfers. Sending BTC may spend any satoshis in your address, including those carrying these assets. If you want to control which satoshis are included in a transaction, you can use Sparrow wallet to manually select your UTXOs.

Step 1: Export your recovery phrase from Phantom #

Follow the steps in View your recovery phrase or private keys in Phantom to export your Secret Recovery Phrase.

Warning: Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase or private key with anyone. Anyone who has access to either has full control of your wallet. Phantom Support will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key.

Step 2: Import your recovery phrase into Sparrow #

  1. Download Sparrow from sparrowwallet.com/download.
  2. Open Sparrow and select Import Wallet.
  3. Select BIP39 Seed → Use 12 Words.
  4. Paste your Secret Recovery Phrase.
  5. Click Discover Wallet.
  6. Create a password when prompted.

Sparrow will scan and display your full Bitcoin balance.

Step 3: Send Bitcoin using Sparrow #

  1. In Sparrow, go to the Send tab.
  2. Enter the recipient address and amount.
  3. Optionally, add a label for your records.
  4. Click Create Transaction.
