Buy SOL, ETH, and other tokens in the Phantom browser extension
Buy SOL, ETH, or other supported tokens directly in the Phantom browser extension using a debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another available payment method. A third-party provider, such as MoonPay, Topper, or Banxa, handles your payment and delivers the tokens to your wallet.
This flow is not available in Phantom on mobile.
Buy crypto in the browser extension #
If you just set up your wallet in the extension and your wallet is empty, you can click Buy SOL with Cash on the Home tab.
Or follow these steps:
- On the Home tab, click Buy, then choose the token you want to purchase. Or open the token's page, then click More > Cash Buy.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose a provider and payment method. Phantom suggests a provider based on your region. To use a different one, click the suggestion and make your selection on the Change payment method screen. For some tokens or amounts, only one provider may be available.
- Click Buy. Phantom opens the provider's site in your browser.
- Sign up or sign in to your provider account.
- Complete your purchase.
Available providers #
Phantom uses Meld, a payment infrastructure platform, to connect you with providers available in your region. During checkout, you may be redirected to meldcrypto.com or meldphantom.com. These redirects can be part of the checkout flow.

Common issues #
No providers are showing up #
In some regions, no providers are available. You can add money to your wallet by buying crypto on an exchange, then sending it to your Phantom address on the correspondent network, or receiving tokens from another wallet.
See Receive crypto in Phantom for more information.
Payment method keeps being declined #
Your bank or card issuer may block crypto purchases. Try a different payment method or select a different provider on the Change payment method screen. If the decline comes from the provider's side, contact their support team directly.
See Third-party onramp providers in Phantom for a list of supported providers.
Identity verification not working #
Providers handle their own identity verification independently. If verification is failing, contact the provider directly. Phantom cannot access or assist with provider-side KYC issues.
Account is blocked #
If a provider blocks your account, contact its support team directly. Phantom cannot see the reason for the restriction or unblock your account.
See Third-party onramp providers in Phantom for a list of supported providers.
Funds haven't arrived #
Check your email receipt or order confirmation to identify the provider that handled your purchase. Then check the order status on the provider’s website or app. If the delay exceeds the estimated delivery time, contact the provider.
If the provider confirms the tokens were sent, ask for the transaction hash and destination address so you can check the transfer.

Unexpected fees or limits #
Purchase limits, fees, and exchange rates are set by each provider and vary. To compare, go back and select a different provider on the Change payment method screen. See Third-party onramp providers in Phantom for a list of supported providers.
