Get started with Arc network in Phantom
Arc is an EVM-compatible network developed by Circle (launch announcement) that uses USDC to pay network fees. Phantom supports Arc, so you can hold, send, receive, buy, and swap tokens on the network.
Verify that Arc is on #
In Phantom, go to Settings > Active Networks and make sure Arc is on.
If Arc isn’t listed, update Phantom to the latest version, then check again.
Find your Arc address #
In Phantom on mobile, tap + in the lower right, then tap Receive, then tap the network selector and choose Arc. In the extension, click Receive and find Arc in the list of networks.
Get USDC on Arc #
Arc uses USDC to pay network fees, just as Solana uses SOL. You need USDC on Arc. USDC on Solana, Ethereum, or another network can’t pay Arc network fees.
You can get USDC on Arc in either of these ways:
- Buy with Cash: Open USDC in Phantom, tap the chevron next to the token ticker, and choose USDC on Arc. Tap Trade > Buy, set your payment method to Cash, and enter the amount. Tap Review, review the details, then tap Confirm.
- Receive from another wallet or exchange: Tap + > Receive (or click Receive in the extension), then choose Arc from the network selector. Copy your address into the sending app, select the Arc network, and complete the transfer.
If your Cash account isn’t funded yet, see Add funds to your Cash account.
Trade on Arc #
You can buy and sell tokens and connect to apps on Arc. Before trading, make sure you’ve selected the token on the Arc network.
Keep some USDC on Arc to pay network fees.
During an eligible swap on Arc, you may be asked to enable gasless swaps. Follow the prompts to get started. See Understanding gasless EVM transactions in Phantom for details.
