Phantom automatically calculates gas fees based on real-time network conditions, suggesting the optimal fee to ensure your transaction is successfully processed. The option to speed up transaction is not available for Solana network, as transactions on Solana are generally faster, and priority fees are automatically factored in during times of network congestion.
For Ethereum and Bitcoin, however, during periods of heavy network activity—such as large-scale NFT launches or heightened trading driven by market sentiment—transaction times may take longer than expected, even with optimized fees. Increased demand on these networks can occasionally affect how quickly transactions are confirmed.
Steps to increase the speed of a transaction before sending:
- Select the network fee option to view the transaction settings page.
- The default selected fee is "Average," which should be sufficient for a successful transaction at that moment.
- To speed up or slow down the transaction, choose between "Fast," "Average," and "Slow" options.
- Once you've made your selection, click Save to confirm your preference.
If your transaction is pending and you want to accelerate it, follow these steps:
- Go to the Activity tab (clock icon 🕓) located at the bottom-right of the Phantom app.
- Open the pending transaction.
- Tap Speed Up.
