Increase the network fee to speed up a transaction

  • Updated

Start by checking whether your transaction is eligible. Manual fee adjustments are only available for native token transfers on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Bitcoin, and HyperEVM. For example, sending ETH, POL, BTC, or HYPE.

You cannot manually adjust fees for the following actions:

  • Non-native token transfers such as USDC or other tokens.
  • NFT transactions and app interactions.
  • All transactions on Solana, Sui, and Monad.

If your transaction is not on the list, increasing the fee is not an option. On fast networks like Solana, transactions typically confirm in seconds without any manual adjustment needed.

Before you send

On supported networks, you can set a fee speed before sending:

  1. On the transaction preview screen, select Network fee.
  2. Choose a speed: Fast, Average, or Slow.
  3. Select Save.

Faster options cost more because they signal higher priority to the network. On less congested networks, the price difference between Slow and Fast is often minimal.

Already sent? Speed up a pending transaction

  1. In Phantom, go to Recent Activity (clock icon).
  2. Select the pending transaction.
  3. Select Speed up.
  4. Confirm to resend with a higher fee.

Note: Increasing the fee improves your chances of faster confirmation but does not guarantee it.
