Phantom has recently added support for the Base network, in addition to the existing Ethereum and Polygon networks. Until Phantom is more widely adopted across decentralized apps (dApps), you can still connect using MetaMask by selecting the [fox] MetaMask option from the "Connect Wallet" dialog.
We are actively working to expand its native support, and we anticipate our own connect option will roll out to most dApps over the coming months.
Setting Phantom as Your Default EVM Wallet
To make Phantom your default wallet for interacting with EVM dApps:
- Go to Settings in the Phantom app.
- Select Preferences.
- Under Default App Wallet, choose "Phantom".
If this setting is on "Always ask," you will be prompted to choose between Phantom and MetaMask whenever you attempt to connect to an EVM-based dApp.
