Why can't I see Ethereum, Polygon, Base, or Bitcoin in my Ledger account?

  • Updated

If your Ledger account in Phantom only shows a Solana address, it’s likely because other networks haven’t been enabled yet.

Possible cause

If you created your account before Phantom supported multiple blockchains, it may be a Solana-only account. Phantom can’t automatically generate addresses for Ethereum, Polygon, Base, or Bitcoin unless you explicitly connect those networks.

This applies to:

  • Ledger accounts created on Solana only.
  • Imported accounts (private key only) originally tied to Solana.

What you can do

Add other networks to your Ledger account:

  1. Plug in and unlock your Ledger device.
  2. Open Phantom and click your account avatar in the upper-left corner.
  3. Click Add Account.
  4. Click Connect Hardware Wallet.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. When prompted, select all available networks—Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Base, and Bitcoin.

You can repeat this process to reconnect any networks you skipped before.
