Transfers tokens from Coinbase to Phantom

You can send tokens from your Coinbase account to your Phantom wallet. Before you send, confirm that the token, network, and wallet address all match. Sending tokens to the wrong address or on the wrong network may result in lost funds.

Before you start

You need your Phantom wallet address before you send from Coinbase. For instructions, see Find your wallet address in Phantom

Send from the Coinbase website

1. Go to coinbase.com.
2. Click Transfer, then click Send crypto.
3. Paste your Phantom wallet address.
4. Select the token you want to send. For example, SOL.
5. Enter the amount, either in your preferred currency or in crypto.
6. Click Preview.
7. Answer the on-screen questions:
   1. Wallet type: Click Self-custody wallet.
   2. Who are you sending to? Click Sending to myself.
   3. Click Continue.
8. Review the transaction details:
   • Confirm the correct network is selected. For example, use Solana when sending SOL to your Solana address in Phantom.
   • Compare the pasted send address with the address you copied from Phantom.
   • Check the amount, estimated send time, and fees.
9. Click Send now to complete the transaction.

Send from the Coinbase mobile app

1. Open the Coinbase app.
2. Tap Transfer, then tap Send crypto.
3. Paste your Phantom wallet address.
4. Select the token you want to send. For example, SOL.
5. Enter the amount, either in your preferred currency or in crypto.
6. Tap Preview.
7. Answer the on-screen questions:
   1. Wallet type: Tap Self-custody wallet.
   2. Who are you sending to? Tap Sending to myself.
   3. Tap Continue.
8. Review the transaction details:
   • Confirm the correct network is selected. For example, use Solana when sending SOL to your Solana address in Phantom.
   • Compare the pasted send address with the address you copied from Phantom.
   • Check the amount, estimated send time, and fees.
9. Tap Send now to complete the transaction.

After you send, the transfer may take time to appear in Phantom depending on Coinbase processing times and network activity. You can check your transaction history in Phantom to confirm when the transfer arrives.
