When you connect your wallet to a decentralized app (dapp), you allow it to:
- View your wallet address
- See your token balances
- Access your transaction history
- Initiate transactions (with your approval)
If you disconnect your wallet, the dapp loses read-only access. However, disconnecting does not revoke any token approvals or smart contract permissions you’ve granted. If you’ve approved a dapp to move your funds, that access remains active until you manually revoke it.
To revoke token approvals, see How to revoke token approvals.
Disconnect from individual or all dapps
- Open Phantom and on the Home tab, select the three-dot menu.
- Select Wallet Settings.
- Go to Connected Apps.
- Do one of the following:
- To disconnect from a specific dapp, find the app and select Disconnect.
- To remove auto-confirm permissions from a dapp, remove selected permissions in the Auto-Confirm section.
- To disconnect from all dapps, select the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and choose Disconnect from all.
- To end auto-confirm for all dapps, select End auto-confirm for all.
Use caution when connected to dapps
- Only connect to trusted dapps.
- Use a burner wallet when testing new or unfamiliar apps.
- Never enter your secret recovery phrase or private key—no dapp should ask for it.
