You can buy Ordinals from your Phantom wallet using Magic Eden or UniSat. Before you buy, make sure you understand how each marketplace uses your Bitcoin addresses and how Ordinals are stored.
Before you buy
When you send Bitcoin, Phantom does not protect your Ordinals, rare sats, or BRC-20 tokens. This means that you may accidentally spend satoshis containing your Ordinals. We recommend that you create a dedicated account in Phantom just to store these assets.
For steps, see Add accounts to Phantom after initial setup.
Buy Ordinals on UniSat
UniSat supports both Native Segwit and Taproot addresses. If both are enabled, UniSat uses Native Segwit for payments and receiving inscriptions. If only Taproot is enabled, UniSat uses Taproot for both.
Tip: We recommend using your Taproot address to store Ordinals.
- Go to UniSat.
- Select Connect → Others → Phantom Wallet → Connect.
- Sign the message in Phantom to confirm the connection.
- Choose your inscription and review the transaction details.
- Optionally, adjust the network fee.
- Select Confirm to complete the purchase.
After you confirm the purchase, wait for the Bitcoin transaction to confirm. Your balance and transaction status might not update immediately.
