When you connect a wallet, the dapp (decentralized app) will be able to view your public address and request transaction approvals. Always verify you trust the dapp before connecting. Phantom will never ask for your secret recovery phrase or private key.

Troubleshooting
No connection pop-up?
A few things you can try:
- Refresh the dapp page in the in-app browser or desktop tab.
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of Phantom.
Still redirected to the App Store/Play Store on mobile?
If you’re prompted to download Phantom on mobile or the connection keeps failing, you’re probably outside the in-app browser. Copy the dapp’s URL, open Phantom, go to the Explore tab, paste the URL into the search bar, and then load the dapp.
