Create a new Phantom wallet with Google or Apple

  • Updated

This guide explains how to create a new Phantom wallet by signing in with your Google or Apple account.

A wallet created this way is sometimes called a seedless wallet or email wallet. Instead of entering a Secret Recovery Phrase during setup, you sign in with your Google account or Apple ID and create a four-digit PIN.

You will use your email and PIN to restore your wallet on a new device or after resetting the app.

Your wallet also has a Secret Recovery Phrase (12 words), which you can export as an additional backup option.

Browser extension

  1. Download Phantom from phantom.com/download.
  2. Click Create a new walletContinue with Email.
  3. Click Continue with Apple or Continue with Google, then follow the prompts to sign in.
  4. Set a four-digit PIN. You will use this PIN to restore your wallet on new devices.
  5. Create a password. This password unlocks Phantom in your current browser only. It does not replace your PIN. Your password must be at least eight characters.
  6. Create a Phantom username.

After setup, you will land on your wallet Home tab and receive a welcome email with tips to get started.

Warning: Phantom cannot reset your PIN. Do not share your PIN or Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone, including Phantom Support. If you lose access to both your PIN and recovery phrase, you may permanently lose access to your wallet.

To export your Secret Recovery Phrase, go to SettingsSecurity & PrivacyShow Recovery Phrase. We strongly recommend exporting it and storing it in a secure, offline location as an additional backup.
