Phantom recently added username functionality that syncs across all devices. If you notice unexpected watch wallet (view-only) accounts or an unfamiliar username in your Phantom wallet, this may be due to:
- Your 12-word recovery phrase being shared or compromised
- Imported private keys that didn't originate from your wallet and are shared with others
How to Fix This Issue
Option 1: Contact Support
Phantom support recommends reaching out for personalized assistance with this issue. You can do so by submitting a ticket here.
Option 2: Self-Resolution Steps
- Back up your current wallet:
- Save all recovery phrase(s) and any imported private keys
- Reset your Phantom wallet:
- Go to Settings
- Select Security
- Choose "Reset App"
- Restore your wallet:
- Only restore using your personal recovery phrase
- Only import private keys that you exclusively own
- Do not import any shared private keys
