How to Use Phantom’s Social Tools: Profile, Followers, and Privacy

Phantom Wallet is excited to introduce Social MVP, a set of foundational features designed to enhance your Web3 experience. With these new tools, users can create and manage profiles, connect with others, and control their privacy settings—all within the Phantom ecosystem. Here's a closer look at what you can do with the Social MVP launch.

Editing Your Profile

Go to the Profile section in your Phantom app.

• Click your username located at the top of your wallet.
• To the right of your username you will see View Profile.
• Select Edit Profile.

In the Manage Profile settings you can make changes to things like your Bio, Auth Factors, Linked Wallets, and Privacy Control

Managing Followers

How to Follow/Unfollow a User

• Search for the username but using the search icon located at the top right of your home screen.
• Click on the username and select Follow/Unfollow.
• Be sure to verify the username before interacting with it to prevent sending funds to an incorrect address.

How to view your followers and who you're following

• Click your username located at the top of your wallet.
• To the right of your username you will see View Profile.
• By selecting Followers, you can see a list of your Followers and users that you are following

How Do I Block/Report an Account?

• To block or report a user:
  1. View your followers/following list
  2. Select the user
  3. Select the three dots in the upper left corner of the popup
  4. Choose either Block or Report.

You can then view the Accounts that you have blocked in the settings under Blocked Accounts

Privacy Control

Take charge of your privacy with Phantom’s intuitive settings:

Private Mode:
If you set your profile to private, you can approve or reject follow requests to control who sees your profile and addresses.

Public Mode:
Your profile and addresses will be searchable and visible by anyone

Invisible:
Your profile and addresses are hidden and undiscoverable everywhere (Be sure to check this if your username is unable to be found)

Sending Tokens to a Users Profile Securely

• Use the username search feature in the Send Flow or the Follow functionality to find users.
• Double-check the username before sending to ensure you’re transacting with the correct profile. Phantom will display matching profiles to help you verify.
• Always confirm details before finalizing a transaction to avoid sending funds to the wrong address.

Warning: Just like with wallet addresses, transactions on the blockchain are irreversible. If you enter an incorrect username and send funds to the wrong account, they may be permanently lost. Always verify recipient details before completing a transaction.
