Get started with Monad in Phantom

  • Updated

Phantom supports the Monad network, so you can hold, send, receive, buy, and swap tokens on Monad—including MON.

Tip: Explore Monad apps and tokens on Phantom.

Turn Monad on or off

Monad is usually on by default. If you don’t see it, turn it on in Settings.

  1. Select your profile avatar in the upper left.
  2. Go to Settings Active Networks.
  3. Turn on Monad.

After you turn it on, your Monad address appears with your other multi-chain addresses. Because Monad is EVM-compatible, it starts with 0x (like Ethereum, Polygon, and Base).

To stop using Monad, go to Active Networks and turn Monad off.

Get started with MON

MON is the native token on Monad. You’ll use it to pay gas fees for transactions on the network.

When Monad is active, MON is added to your portfolio automatically.

Swap MON and other Monad tokens

You can swap tokens on Monad using Phantom’s in-app swapper.

  1. Go to Swap.
  2. In Receive, choose MON (or another token on Monad).
  3. Enter an amount and complete the swap.

Note: MON also exists on Solana, but it isn’t the same as MON on Monad. Solana MON can’t be used to pay gas or make transactions on Monad.

Connect to Monad apps

Fiat on-ramps to Monad

Fiat on-ramps for Monad aren’t available at this time.

Import an existing Monad wallet

You can import an existing Monad wallet into Phantom using its recovery phrase.
