If you believe you may have rare sats (rare satoshis) in your wallet or linked to an Ordinal inscription, there are a few tools you can use to verify their rarity. Since no single platform has a complete view of all UTXOs or rare sats, it’s best to cross-reference multiple explorers for the most accurate results.
Tools to Check for Rare Sats
To check if your wallet holds rare sats, you can use the following tools. No tool has full visibility into all rare sats due to the nature of Bitcoin’s UTXO model and indexing delays and since some UTXOs may not appear in one tool but will in another, it’s best to check across multiple sources:
1. Mempool.Space
-
How to Use:
-
Visit https://mempool.space
-
Paste your Bitcoin wallet address into the search bar
-
View all UTXOs and transactions linked to your address
-
Mempool is great for checking if your UTXOs exist and are confirmed on-chain, but it doesn’t analyze sat rarity directly.
2. Ordiscan
-
How to Use:
-
Go to https://ordiscan.com
-
Enter your Bitcoin address
-
View all Ordinals and UTXOs associated with it
-
Note: Ordiscan occasionally misses UTXOs or inscriptions, especially if they’re very recent or low-value. If nothing shows up, don’t assume your wallet has no rare sats—check other tools.
3. Magic Eden
-
How to Use:
-
View inscriptions, collectibles, and rare sats in your portfolio
Magic Eden is helpful for viewing your inscriptions and any sats tied to digital assets. It also flags some rare sats that may be tied to inscriptions, but might not detect them if they’re uninscribed.
