Before you swap, send, or buy a token, check its contract address to confirm you're looking at the right one. This helps you avoid scams and copycat tokens that reuse familiar names or logos.
Find the contract address
To find a token's contract address in Phantom:
- Open the token.
- Find the Mint or Contract field:
- Mint is used for Solana tokens.
- Contract is used for Ethereum, other EVM networks, and Sui.
- Copy the address.
You can also tap or click More → View on [explorer] to open the token directly in a blockchain explorer.
Check the contract address for red flags
Third-party tools can scan a contract address for common warning signs such as unlocked liquidity, suspicious permissions, or patterns associated with scams.
Warning: These tools can identify red flags but cannot guarantee a token is safe. If a token looks risky or results are unclear, don't interact with it until you verify it through the project's official sources and a trusted blockchain explorer.
Solana tokens
Solsniffer analyzes Solana tokens for scam indicators and assigns a risk score.
- Go to solsniffer.com.
- Paste the contract address into the search field.
- Review the score and any warnings.
RugCheck provides another Solana-focused risk review.
- Go to rugcheck.xyz.
- Paste the contract address into the search field.
- Review the risk analysis.
Ethereum and EVM tokens
Token Sniffer scans contracts for common scam patterns, including excessive fees, unlocked liquidity, and suspicious ownership settings.
- Go to tokensniffer.com.
- Paste the contract address into the search field.
- Review the risk analysis.
Honeypot.is helps identify tokens that allow buying but restrict selling.
- Go to honeypot.is/ethereum.
- Paste the contract address into the search field.
- Review whether the token can be sold normally.
Sui tokens
For Sui tokens, use the Nexa Sui Bot on Telegram to review a contract address.
- Open Telegram and go to
@insidex_safety_checker_bot. - Send the contract address to the bot.
- Review the results.
Important: Verify that you are using the official bot handle before interacting with any Telegram bot.
If any tool flags the token as risky, or if you can't verify the contract address through official project sources, avoid interacting with it.
