Check a token's contract address for risks

  • Updated

Verifying a token's contract address (CA) helps you confirm you're viewing the correct token and avoid scams or copycats that reuse familiar names or logos.

Find the contract address

To find a token's contract address in Phantom, follow these steps:

  1. Open the token.
  2. Find the Mint or Contract field:
    • Mint is used for Solana-based tokens.
    • Contract is used for Ethereum, other EVM-compatible networks, and Sui.
  3. Copy the address.

You can also select MoreView on [explorer] to open the token directly in a blockchain explorer.

Do a quick check using third-party tools

After you copy the CA, you can check it for potential risks. These tools highlight common red flags such as unlocked liquidity, suspicious permissions, or patterns associated with scams.

Solana tokens

Solsniffer

Solsniffer analyzes Solana tokens for scam indicators and assigns a risk score (Snifscore).

  1. Go to solsniffer.com.
  2. Paste the CA into the search field.
  3. Review the Snifscore and warnings.

Sui tokens

Use the Nexa Sui Bot on Telegram to review a token’s contract address.

Important: Verify you're using the official bot handle before interacting with any Telegram bot.

  1. Open Telegram and go to @insidex_safety_checker_bot.
  2. Send the CA to the bot.
  3. Review the results.
