Staked SOL doesn't appear in your main wallet balance. It lives in a separate stake account, or in the case of liquid staking, as a PSOL token. This article explains where to find it and what to do if you've unstaked but your SOL hasn't arrived.
Find your staked SOL
Native staking
If you staked SOL natively to a validator, your balance is held in a stake account, not your main wallet balance.
- Select Solana in your portfolio.
- Scroll to Your Stake.
- Select Other to view your native stake accounts.
Each stake account shows its current state: Activating, Active, Deactivating, or Inactive.
Liquid staking (PSOL)
If you staked SOL using Phantom liquid staking, your balance appears as Phantom Staked SOL (PSOL) in your portfolio, not as SOL. PSOL is a separate token whose value increases over time as rewards accrue.
- On the Home tab, look for Phantom Staked SOL in your token list.
- Select it to see your balance and reward history.
If PSOL isn't visible, tap Manage Token List and search for it to toggle it on.
Unstaked but SOL hasn't arrived
Native staking
Unstaking doesn't automatically return SOL to your wallet. Once the stake account becomes inactive, you need to withdraw manually.
- Select Solana in your portfolio.
- Select Your Stake → Other.
- Select the inactive stake account.
- Select Withdraw Stake.
If the account still shows as Deactivating, it hasn't finished the unstaking process yet. Epochs typically last 2–3 days. You can track progress at solanabeach.io or explorer.solana.com.
Liquid staking (PSOL)
When you unstake PSOL, Phantom first tries to convert it to SOL instantly using reserve liquidity. If reserves are sufficient, your SOL returns immediately. If not, your PSOL moves to a native stake account and follows the same withdrawal process as native staking above.
- Select Solana in your portfolio.
- Select Your Stake → Other.
- Select the inactive stake account.
- Select Withdraw Stake.
If the account is still Deactivating, wait until it becomes Inactive before withdrawing.
Staked SOL not showing in any account
If you can't find your stake at all, your stake account may be associated with a different wallet address than the one you're currently using. This can happen if you've restored a wallet using a different recovery phrase than the one used when you staked.
To verify: check the wallet address you used when you originally staked using a blockchain explorer such as solanabeach.io and look for stake accounts associated with that address. If the stake belongs to a different wallet, you'll need to restore that wallet to access it.
