Chats let you follow live trading activity and connect with other traders directly in Phantom on mobile.
To join a chat, you'll need a Phantom username, at least $1 in your wallet, and your profile set to Public or Private.
Joining a chat
You can join a chat in two ways:
- Open any token, perp, or prediction market, then tap Join Chat.
- Or open the sidebar, then tap Chats to see trending chats and any you've joined before.
What to expect in chats
Chats are designed for real market conversation: sharing thoughts on tokens, discussing price action, and engaging with other traders. Keep it genuine and respectful. Behavior that violates our guidelines will result in messages being removed and accounts being restricted or permanently banned.
Prohibited behavior
The following is not allowed in Phantom chats:
- Sharing links to external sites, apps, or platforms.
- Directing others to external platforms or personal profiles elsewhere.
- Impersonating Phantom staff, moderators, or other users.
- Promoting giveaways, airdrops, or any offer requiring you to send funds or connect your wallet.
- Posting personal information of any kind.
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other users.
- Any coordinated or deceptive activity.
Staying safe
Phantom will never contact you through chat, ask for your Secret Recovery Phrase, or ask you to connect your wallet to a third-party site. Anyone in chat claiming otherwise is attempting to steal your funds.
Be skeptical of unsolicited offers, token recommendations, and links of any kind.
Common things to watch out for:
- Links asking you to connect your wallet or claim tokens.
- Anyone claiming to be Phantom Support.
- Requests to move a conversation to another platform.
- Anyone asking for your Secret Recovery Phrase.
Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone, under any circumstances.
Chat features
System messages automatically announce buy and sell activity from chat participants in real time.
Leaderboards show the top token holders currently online in token chats.
- Gold crown: top holder
- Silver star: second largest holder
- Bronze thumbs-up: third largest holder
Badges show how much of a token a participant holds:
- Poo: $1+
- Peach: $10+
- Fire: $100+
- Card: $1,000+
- Diamond: $10,000+
Report or block someone
To report a message, press and hold it, then tap Report. To block a user, press and hold a message, then tap Block. To unblock, go to Settings → Security & Privacy → Blocked Accounts.
Common issues
I can't send messages or others can't see what I type
Either your account has been temporarily restricted, or your profile privacy is set to Invisible. Go to Profile → Manage Profile → Privacy, set it to Private or Public, then restart the app. Restrictions lift automatically after seven days.
"Fund your account to participate"
You need at least $1 in your wallet to chat. Add funds, then try again.

Can I turn off, hide, or mute chats?
No. Chats are always visible in Phantom.
Can I trade directly in chats?
Yes. You can buy or sell tokens, perps, and prediction market contracts directly from a chat.
Can I delete my own messages?
Yes.
How are chats moderated?
Phantom uses moderation tools and community reporting to keep chats safe and spam-free.
