Get started with Phantom Cash

Phantom Cash lets you hold, send, and receive a USD-pegged balance in your Phantom wallet. This guide walks you through setting up your Cash account.

Requirements

• Phantom mobile app
• A Solana account in your wallet
• A Phantom username

Activate your Cash account

1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
2. Select the Cash tab.
3. Tap Enter, then Done on the welcome screen.

Your Cash account is now active. You can swap tokens, send to Phantom usernames or Solana wallets, and receive CASH transfers.

Verify your identity (optional, US only)

Identity verification unlocks offchain features such as bank deposits, bank withdrawals, and the Phantom Cash debit card. Verification is available in the US, except New York and Alaska.

If you're outside the US or prefer not to verify, you can still use Phantom Cash onchain.

To verify your identity, follow these steps:

1. In the Cash tab, tap Start next to Verify Your Account.
2. Enter your email and phone number for verification.
3. Provide your full name, US address, date of birth, and Social Security number.
4. Submit a government-issued ID and complete a face scan.

Approval takes some time. You'll be notified when it's complete.

Note: Identity verification for Phantom Cash is separate from identity verification for buying crypto through the Buy button. If you buy crypto through MoonPay, OnMeta, or Robinhood, you'll need to verify with those providers separately.

Skip or complete verification later

Identity verification is optional. You can skip it and still use Phantom Cash onchain to hold, swap, send, and receive funds.

• To skip, tap Skip on the Let's verify your identity screen.
• To complete verification later, tap Verify Your Account, or tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner and select Complete Enrollment.

Activate the Phantom Cash debit card

After your identity verification is approved, you can activate your Phantom Cash debit card. The card links your Cash account to Bridge (our payments partner) so you can spend your balance anywhere Visa is accepted.

1. Open the Cash tab when you see the Your card is ready prompt.
2. Tap Continue.
3. Review your card details, then tap Continue.
4. Tap I Agree to accept the card terms.
5. Tap Create Card to finish setup.

If you dismissed the activation screen, return to the Cash tab within 24 hours of approval to finish setup. If the prompt no longer appears, you may need to reverify.
