Cash is a set of financial tools built into your Phantom wallet. It lets you hold, send, receive, and spend money in one place—your Cash account—powered by crypto and built for everyday use.
What is a Cash account?
Your Cash account is a separate Solana wallet that's tied to your Phantom profile. It appears alongside your other accounts in Phantom. The Cash account is designed to hold CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin, and it shows your balance in USD.
Your Phantom profile (the same identity that powers your Phantom username) is linked to both your regular Phantom accounts and your separate Cash account.
In the Phantom mobile app, you'll see a dedicated Cash tab that gives you access to your Cash account. You can also find the Cash Balance section directly on the Home tab.
Swaps and peer-to-peer transfers with Cash happen instantly without transaction prompts. If you're in the US (except NY), you can also link a bank account for deposits and withdrawals, and spend your balance with the Phantom debit card.

Cash connects to traditional finance (offchain) through the following partners:
- Link handles identity verification (KYC) for Cash.
- Stripe handles funding via linked US bank accounts, debit cards, or Apple Pay.
- Bridge powers the Phantom debit card and US bank deposits and withdrawals.
- Lead Bank issues the prepaid Phantom debit card, with Bridge as the program manager.
- Galileo supports card transaction processing and the debit card dispute process.
Your CASH is always held onchain.
How it works
Funding
You can add funds to your Cash account by swapping tokens on Solana into CASH. If you're in the US (except NY), other options available include funding with your linked bank account, debit or credit cards, Apple Pay, or direct deposits. See Fund your Cash account for details.
Sending
You can send CASH from your Cash account to Phantom usernames and Solana wallets. If you're in the US (except NY), send USD to someone else's US bank account at a 1:1 rate. See Send CASH from your Cash account for details.
Spending
If you're in the US (except NY), the Phantom debit card lets you spend your Cash balance anywhere Visa, Apple Pay, or Google Pay are accepted. See Use your Phantom debit card for details.
Swapping
You can convert tokens on Solana in your portfolio into CASH in your Cash account, or swap out of your Cash account balance into other tokens on Solana. See Swap tokens with your Cash account for details.
Withdrawing

Privacy
KYC
Identity verification for Cash is handled by Link, our trusted KYC partner. Phantom does not store your identity documents or link your wallets to your real-world identity. Your identity is not linked to your non-Cash wallet addresses.
Bank deposits and withdrawals
What appears onchain: transfers between your Cash account and Bridge's wallet. The bank destination and purpose of the transfer are not visible onchain. Bridge rotates the addresses it uses.
Card payments
What appears onchain: transfers from your Cash account to Bridge's debit card smart contract. Merchant names, items, and receipts are not visible onchain. Bridge rotates the addresses it uses.
Onchain sends
Peer-to-peer transfers to other Phantom users and sends to Solana wallets are regular blockchain transactions. Amounts and wallet addresses appear on Solana.
Security
- Self-custodial: Your Cash account is a Solana wallet that only you control.
- Always onchain: Balances are held on Solana in CASH, never as fiat in offchain accounts.
- Partner protections: Bridge manages USD-to-CASH conversions for bank transactions. The Phantom debit card is issued by Lead Bank with Bridge as the program manager. Galileo handles transaction disputes with the Phantom debit card.
