Cash lets you hold, send, receive, spend, and withdraw money in Phantom. You can also use your Cash balance to trade supported tokens, perps, predictions, and tokenized stocks, depending on availability in your region.

What is a Cash account? #

Your Cash account is a separate Solana wallet linked to your Phantom profile, the same profile associated with your Phantom username. It holds CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin, and displays your balance in USD.

In the Phantom mobile app, tap Cash on the Home tab to see your account.

Swaps and peer-to-peer transfers with Cash happen instantly without transaction prompts. If you're in the US (except NY), you can also link a bank account for deposits and withdrawals, and spend your balance with the Phantom debit card.

Add money to Cash #

You can fund your Cash account with a payment method available in your region, receive supported stablecoins, or convert crypto you already hold.

Buy Cash #

Use Buy Instantly to add Cash with an available payment method.

You can also buy Cash through available third-party providers, such as MoonPay, Banxa, or Topper. Providers and payment methods vary by region. Third-party providers are also available as an alternative to Stripe in the US and EU.

In the US, except New York, you can use Bank Transfer to send an ACH transfer or domestic wire using your Cash routing and account numbers.

Receive stablecoins #

Send USDC, USDT, or PYUSD on Solana from another wallet or exchange to your Cash address. After confirmation, these tokens automatically convert to CASH.

Use Cash > Receive Stablecoins to find your deposit address. Only send the supported tokens on Solana shown in the deposit instructions.

Convert crypto into Cash #

You have two options:

• Sell Crypto: Go to Cash > Sell Crypto, then choose the eligible Solana tokens and amounts to convert into Cash.
• Swap: Swap supported tokens across networks into Cash. You can also trade Solana tokens through the regular buy, sell, and swap flows.

Use your Cash balance #

Trade #

Use Cash to buy supported tokens across networks and trade perps, predictions, and tokenized stocks. Available products vary by region.

You can also use CASH in DeFi apps such as Kamino to earn yield.

Send and withdraw #

Send funds to other Phantom users, Solana wallets, or your own accounts in Phantom.

Spend #

If you're in the US (except NY), the Phantom debit card lets you spend your Cash balance anywhere Visa, Apple Pay, or Google Pay are accepted. See Use your virtual Phantom debit card (US only).

Access your Cash account #

Sign in to Phantom the same way you did when you set up Cash. Use your original Google or Apple account, recovery phrase, or private key. You can also import another recovery phrase or private key and enable them as an additional sign-in method for the same Phantom profile.

Identity verification and availability #

Identity verification is optional for most Cash features. It is required for Stripe funding in the US and EU, US bank deposits and withdrawals, and the Phantom debit card.

• Stripe handles funding via debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or linked US bank accounts, depending on your region.
• Bridge powers the Phantom debit card and US bank deposits and withdrawals.
• Lead Bank issues the prepaid Phantom debit card, with Bridge as the program manager.
• Galileo supports card transaction processing and the debit card dispute process.

Privacy #

KYC #

Identity verification for Cash is handled by Link, our trusted KYC partner. Phantom does not store your identity documents or link your wallets to your real-world identity. Your identity is not linked to your non-Cash wallet addresses.

Bank deposits and withdrawals #

What appears onchain: transfers between your Cash account and Bridge's wallet. The bank destination and purpose of the transfer are not visible onchain. Bridge rotates the addresses it uses.

Card payments #

What appears onchain: transfers from your Cash account to Bridge's debit card smart contract. Merchant names, items, and receipts are not visible onchain. Bridge rotates the addresses it uses.

Onchain transfers #

Crypto transfers to other Phantom users and to Solana wallets are regular blockchain transactions. Amounts and wallet addresses appear on Solana.

Security #

Your Cash account is built around the following security principles:

• Self-custodial: Your Cash account is a Solana wallet that only you control.
• Always onchain: Balances are held on Solana in CASH, never as fiat in offchain accounts.
• Partner protections: Bridge manages USD-to-CASH conversions for bank transactions. The Phantom debit card is issued by Lead Bank with Bridge as the program manager. Galileo handles transaction disputes with the Phantom debit card.

The Prepaid Debit Visa Card is issued by Lead Bank pursuant to licensing by Visa U.S.A. Inc. and may be used everywhere Visa is accepted. Must be 18 or older to apply. Fees may apply.
