Buy or sell crypto with your Cash account

You can use your Cash balance to buy crypto on Solana (convert Cash into other tokens), or sell crypto on Solana to fund your Cash account (convert other tokens to Cash). Under the hood, this is swapping in and out of CASH held in your Cash account.

Before you swap

• Swaps from stablecoins (USDC, USDT, USDG, PYUSD) into your Cash account are free. Swaps involving other tokens use standard swap fees.
• Tokens on other networks such as Ethereum or Polygon cannot be swapped into your Cash account directly. Swap them to a token on Solana first.

Buy crypto with your Cash account

You can buy tokens on Solana using the funds in your Cash account.

1. Open any token on Solana, then tap Buy.
2. Enter the amount. Your Cash account is set as the payment method by default if the token you're buying is on Solana.
3. Tap Review and review the quote. Optionally, adjust the swap settings in the upper right.
4. Tap Confirm.

Sell crypto into your Cash account

You can sell crypto on Solana into your Cash account.

From the Cash section

1. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
2. Under Add Cash, tap Sell Crypto. Phantom shows the tokens in your selected account that are eligible for swapping.
3. Choose a token and tap Max to sell all, or enter the amount (minimum $1).
4. Review and confirm.

From a token page

1. Open a token on Solana that you hold, then tap Sell.
2. Enter the amount. Your Cash account is set as the payment method by default if the token you're selling is on Solana.
3. Tap Review and review the quote. Optionally, adjust the swap settings in the upper right.
4. Tap Confirm.

Move CASH from your wallet to your Cash account

If you received or swapped into CASH and it landed in your main Phantom wallet instead of your Cash account, you can move it over.

1. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
2. Under Add Cash, tap Sell Crypto.
3. Next to CASH, tap Max to move all of it, or tap the icon next to Max to enter a custom amount.

Common issues

I sold my crypto into Cash, how can I buy crypto with Cash?

Because Cash is set as the default destination account for swaps on Solana, sometimes you may unintentionally swap tokens into your Cash account. You can swap out of Cash into tokens on Solana, such as SOL or USDC or any other.

Swapped crypto but it ended up in my Cash account

Sometimes, a token received after a swap may be incorrectly routed to your Cash account. The outgoing transfer may not appear in your activity feed.

There's a Recover Cash Assets option that you can use. You need at least $1 in your Cash account for this option to appear.

1. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
2. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right.
3. Tap Settings → Recover Cash Assets → Withdraw.
