You can use your Cash account balance to buy tokens on Solana, or convert tokens on Solana into your Cash account. When swapping, Phantom sets Cash as the default payment method and swap destination on mobile.
Key points
- Swaps from stablecoins (USDC, USDT, USDG, PYUSD) into your Cash account are free. Swaps involving other tokens on Solana use standard swap fees.
- Tokens on other networks such as Ethereum or Polygon can't be swapped into your Cash account directly. You will need to swap them to tokens on Solana first.
- You can't buy or sell crypto directly in the Cash tab. To buy or sell using your Cash balance, use the Buy, Sell, or Swap flows described in the article.
How it works
When you buy a token with Cash, Phantom swaps CASH held in your Cash account into the token you selected. When you sell a token into Cash, Phantom swaps the token into CASH and deposits it into your Cash account. The Buy and Sell flows are a simplified interface for the same underlying swap mechanism.
Buy tokens on Solana with Cash
Use your Cash balance to buy any token on Solana.
- In the Phantom mobile app, open a token on Solana in your portfolio.
- Tap Buy.
- Confirm that the You Pay field in the lower left is set to Cash.
- Enter the amount (minimum $1).
- Tap Buy Now.
Alternatively, open the Swap tab, set You Pay to Cash, and choose the token you want to receive.
Sell tokens on Solana into Cash
Convert tokens on Solana in your Phantom wallet into your Cash account balance.
- In the Phantom mobile app, open any token on Solana.
- Tap Sell.
- Confirm that the You Receive field in the lower left is set to Cash.
- Enter the amount (minimum $1).
- Tap Sell Now.
Alternatively, open the Swap tab, set You Receive to Cash, and choose the token you want to sell.
Swap CASH token into Cash account
If you hold CASH token in your main Phantom wallet balance (not in your Cash account), follow these steps to move it into your Cash account.
- Open the Cash tab.
- Tap Add Cash.
- Tap Quick Sell Crypto.
- Next to CASH, tap Max to convert all of CASH, or tap the icon next to Max to enter a custom amount.
