Earn yield with CASH on Kamino

  • Updated

You can use CASH in supported DeFi apps such as Kamino to lend, borrow, provide liquidity, and more.

Before you connect to a DeFi app, make sure the CASH is in your main Phantom wallet. If it's still in your Cash account, withdraw it to your wallet first.

  • CASH is the stablecoin that appears in your main Phantom wallet.
  • Your Cash account balance must be withdrawn to your main Phantom wallet before a DeFi app can use it.
  • When connecting to a DeFi app, choose the Phantom account that holds your CASH.

Important: DeFi apps are third-party services. Phantom does not control their availability, APY, rewards, deposits, withdrawals, or product terms. Review the app carefully before connecting your wallet or depositing funds.

Step 1: Acquire CASH

Withdraw as CASH from your Cash account

If you have a balance in your Cash account, withdraw it as CASH to your main Phantom balance.

  1. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
  2. Under Send Cash, tap Send to Wallet.
  3. Under Accounts, choose an account in your Phantom wallet.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review and confirm.

CASH appears in your main Phantom balance, in the account you selected.

Swap into CASH

You can also acquire CASH through the Trade tab.

  1. Tap the + button in the lower right, then tap Trade. Or swipe to the Trade tab.
  2. In You Pay, select the token you want to swap from.
  3. In You Receive, select CASH

Note: When buying the stablecoin, make sure you select CASH with the white stablecoin icon and verified checkmark. Do not select the purple Cash account option.

  4. Review the swap details, then complete the swap.

CASH now appears in your wallet balance.

Step 2: Earn yield with CASH on Kamino

Kamino is one example of a DeFi app that may support CASH. Before you start, confirm that the Phantom account you connect is the same account that holds CASH.

  1. Go to kamino.com.
  2. Connect the Phantom account that holds CASH.
  3. Choose a product that supports CASH, such as:
    • Lend: Deposit CASH to earn yield, such as CASH Earn.
    • Borrow: Use CASH in borrowing strategies, depending on the product.
    • Liquidity: Provide liquidity in CASH trading pairs, such as CASH-USDC or PRIME-CASH.

The APY shown in Kamino can come from multiple sources, such as borrower interest and partner incentives. Phantom does not set or guarantee these rates.
