Get started with Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 network supported in Phantom. You can hold and swap assets on the network and connect to Robinhood Chain apps.
Warning: Always confirm the recipient address and network before you send. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, and sending to the wrong address or network may result in permanent loss.
Verify that Robinhood Chain is on #
In Phantom, go to Settings > Active Networks and turn on Robinhood Chain.
If Robinhood Chain isn’t listed, update Phantom to the latest version, then check again.
Find your Robinhood Chain address #
In Phantom, select Receive, then choose Robinhood Chain. Copy the 0x address displayed.
Robinhood Chain uses the same wallet address as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arc. Your token balances on each network remain separate, even though the address is the same.
Get ETH on Robinhood Chain #
You need ETH on Robinhood Chain to pay transaction fees. ETH on Ethereum, Base, or another network cannot pay Robinhood Chain fees.
- Buy with Cash on mobile: Open ETH in Phantom, tap the chevron next to the token ticker, and choose ETH on Robinhood Chain. Tap Trade > Buy, set your payment method to Cash, and enter the amount. Tap Review, review the details, then tap Confirm.
- Receive from another wallet or exchange:
- On mobile, tap the + button in the lower right, then select Receive. Tap the network name below the QR code and choose Robinhoog Chain. Copy your address into the sending app, select BNB Chain as the network, and complete the transfer.
- In the browser extension, open the Home tab and click Receive. Next to Robinhood Chain, click the QR code icon to display a scannable code, or click the copy icon to copy the address.
Sending ETH on Ethereum to your wallet address does not automatically move it to Robinhood Chain.
Swap assets and connect to apps #
Once your wallet is funded, you can swap supported assets and connect Phantom to apps on Robinhood Chain.
Your swaps may be gasless. See Understanding gasless swaps on EVM networks for details.
Keep some ETH on Robinhood Chain to pay fees for transactions that aren’t gasless.
Check fees and asset availability #
If you can’t transfer funds out of Robinhood Chain, check your ETH balance on that network. You need enough Robinhood Chain ETH to cover the transaction fee.
Asset availability depends on your geographic location. Some real-world asset (RWA) tokens and stock tokens have regional restrictions and may not be available where you live.
Robinhood Chain promotion #
You can qualify for the promotion by meeting the published promotion terms. You do not need to open or interact with promotional banners or messages to qualify.
Complete qualifying trades #
Qualifying trades must be initiated through Phantom, executed and confirmed on Robinhood Chain, and settled during the promotion period.
Failed, reversed, or cancelled transactions do not count. Twenty-five trades of $1 in notional value each count toward the promotion.
Receive your reward #
Rewards are credited to your Cash balance within 15 days after the promotion period ends, by October 14 at the latest. Rewards are processed after eligibility is determined, so payouts are not instant.
Rewards are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the reward pool is exhausted, the promotion ends.
