If you used Card, Apple Pay, Bank or Card, Google Pay, Bank, your deposit is processed through Stripe.
Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay deposits can complete within 10 minutes. Linked bank account deposits can take up to 5 business days, and do not process on weekends or US federal holidays.
Direct bank transfers or domestic wires (United States)
If you used Transfer From Bank, timing depends on your bank and the transfer method. Transfers may be sent as ACH or wire transfers.
ACH deposits typically arrive the next business day, but can take up to 5 business days. ACH transfers do not process on weekends or US federal holidays.
Wire deposits usually process faster than ACH. Timing depends on your bank, the time the wire is sent, and whether it was submitted on a business day.
Deposits via third-party providers
If you added money through a third-party provider such as MoonPay or Banxa, that provider controls the transaction timeline.
Processing time can depend on the following:
- The provider
- The payment method
- Your bank
- Identity or fraud review
Why a deposit may stay pending
A pending deposit does not always mean something is wrong. Common reasons include the following:
- Normal bank processing time
- ACH processing delays
- Weekend or holiday delays
- Provider review
- Bank review or fraud checks
- Payment method restrictions
When to wait
Your deposit is likely still within the normal window in the following cases:
- Your card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay deposit was submitted within the last 10 minutes.
- Your ACH deposit was submitted less than 5 business days ago.
- Your wire deposit is still within the expected wire timing window.
- Your ACH or wire deposit was submitted near a weekend or US holiday.
When to contact the provider or support
Contact the provider directly
Contact the provider directly if you used a third-party provider for checkout and:
- Your deposit is past the expected timeframe.
- Your receipt or bank statement shows the provider's charge, but funds have not arrived.
- The provider shows the transaction as complete, but the funds are still missing.
Contact Phantom Support
Contact Phantom Support in the following cases:
- The pending status has lasted beyond the normal window.
- You believe the deposit reached Cash, but your balance did not update correctly.
- The app shows inconsistent status or missing balance information.
If you contact support, have the following ready:
- Date and time of the deposit
- Amount
- Payment method used
- Whether you used card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, linked bank, or bank transfer
- A screenshot of the pending status, if available
How to identify the provider
If you are not sure which provider handled the deposit, check the following:
- Your email receipt
- Your card or bank statement
- The provider name shown during checkout
The charge may show the provider's name, not Phantom's.
