Phantom refers to NFT-like tokens as collectibles. You can burn an unwanted collectible on the Solana network directly within Phantom. Burning an NFT removes it from your wallet and you receive a rebate—the SOL that was being held in the token account. Burning an NFT is irreversible, and we have no way to undo this once you proceed, so make sure to only burn unwanted NFTs.
Note: You can't burn Magic Eden verified NFTs and ETH/Polygon NFTs.
- Open Phantom.
- Go to the Collectibles tab.
- Select the collectible you want to burn, then select More.
- Select Burn Token and confirm that you understand that this action cannot be undone.
- Select the red Burn button to complete the process.
