Update your replacement virtual Phantom debit card (US only)
Your virtual Phantom debit card is being replaced as we move to a new card issuer. To keep using your card without interruption, add your replacement card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and update your payment details wherever your previous card is saved. If you use your card at merchants that require a PIN, set a PIN for your replacement card.
About your card replacement #
Phantom is moving from Bridge to Stripe as our debit card issuer. Starting October 5, 2026, existing Bridge-issued virtual Phantom debit cards are being replaced automatically as part of this planned change.
Your replacement card has a new card number, and your previous card will stop working. Your Cash balance, card spending limits, and transaction history remain unchanged. Pending transactions and refunds are also unaffected.
Open your replacement card #
Update your Phantom mobile app to version 26.33 or later. When your replacement card is ready, take these steps:
- On the Home tab, tap the Your Card has been replaced banner.
- Tap Next to open the replacement card options.
Cards are being replaced in stages during October, so the banner may not appear immediately after you update the app. Updating your app does not immediately replace your card. Until you're notified, you can continue using your Bridge-issued card as before.
Add your replacement card to Apple Wallet #
From the replacement card options, take these steps:
- Tap Add to Apple Pay.
- Follow the prompts to add your replacement card to Apple Wallet.
If your previous Phantom debit card still appears in Apple Wallet, remove it to avoid selecting it by mistake.
Add your replacement card to Google Wallet #
On Android, add your replacement card manually in Google Wallet.
From the replacement card options, take these steps:
- Tap View new details.
- Copy your new card number and note its expiration date and security code.
- Open Google Wallet and add your replacement card using those details.
If your previous Phantom debit card still appears in Google Wallet, remove it to avoid selecting it by mistake.
Set a PIN on your replacement card #
Set a PIN if you use your card at merchants that require one. Your previous PIN does not carry over. You don’t need a PIN to add your replacement card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
From the replacement card options, tap Setup your PIN and follow the prompts.
You can also set your PIN from the Cash tab: tap the card symbol in the upper right, then tap Set PIN.
Update your saved payment details #
Adding your replacement card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet does not update card details saved directly with merchants.
From the replacement card options, take these steps:
- Tap View new details.
- Copy your new card number and note its expiration date and security code.
- Update these details wherever your previous card is saved, including websites and shopping apps, subscriptions and recurring payments, and other digital wallets or payment services.
You can also access your card details from the Cash tab: tap the card symbol in the upper right, then tap View card details.
