Use a Ledger wallet with the Phantom mobile app

  • Updated

Connect a Bluetooth-enabled Ledger (Nano X or Stax) to the Phantom mobile app.

Note: Ledger Nano S and Nano S Plus don't support Bluetooth and can't connect to the Phantom mobile app. Use the browser extension instead. Ledger Nano Gen 5 via Bluetooth isn't currently supported.

Before you begin

  • Install the Solana, Ethereum (for all EVM-compatible chains), and Bitcoin apps on your Ledger.
  • Allow blind signing:
    • Solana: Open the Solana app on your Ledger → Settings → Blind signing → Enable blind signing → set to Enabled.
    • Ethereum: Open the Ethereum app on your Ledger → Settings → Blind signing → Enable transaction blind signing → set to Enabled.

Connect your Ledger

Keep your Ledger unlocked during setup. If it locks, you may need to restart Phantom and begin again.

  1. Open Phantom and tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
  2. Tap Add AccountConnect Hardware Wallet.
  3. Allow Bluetooth access when prompted.
  4. Tap Connect your Ledger device, select your device, and tap Continue.
  5. Select the networks you want to connect.
  6. When prompted, open the corresponding app on your Ledger.
  7. Tap Select Accounts, choose which addresses to connect, and tap Continue.

Note: If you hold Bitcoin, Ledger Wallet may show different balances than Phantom. Ledger generates new Bitcoin addresses automatically, so BTC may appear in different accounts. Learn more at Ledger Support.

Sign a transaction

To send transactions, turn on Blind Signing in your Ledger settings.

  1. In Phantom, prepare your transaction in Phantom (for example, send a token).
  2. Unlock your Ledger and keep it nearby.
  3. Tap Next Send.
  4. Tap Connect and wait for Bluetooth pairing.
  5. When prompted, open the correct app on your Ledger.
  6. Approve the transaction on your Ledger.
