Use a Ledger wallet with the Phantom mobile app

You can add accounts from a Ledger hardware wallet to the Phantom mobile app over Bluetooth. This works for both new setups and existing Phantom wallets. For a full list of supported hardware wallets, see Supported hardware wallets in Phantom.

Warning: Never enter your Ledger Secret Recovery Phrase into Phantom, a website, or any app. Phantom Support will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key.

Before you start #

Complete these steps before connecting your Ledger to Phantom:

  • Install or update the Solana, Ethereum, and Bitcoin apps on your Ledger. The Ethereum app covers EVM-compatible chains.
  • Update your Ledger device firmware.

Some transactions may require blind signing. Enable it only for the Ledger apps you plan to use:

  • Solana: Open the Solana app on your Ledger > Settings > Blind signing > Enable blind signing > set to Enabled.
  • Ethereum: Open the Ethereum app on your Ledger > Settings > Blind signing > Enable transaction blind signing > set to Enabled.

Important: Only approve transactions you recognize and trust. Review the transaction details in Phantom and on your Ledger before confirming.

Connect your Ledger #

Keep your Ledger unlocked during setup. If it locks during pairing, restart Phantom and begin the connection steps again.

From the welcome screen #
  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. Tap More Options.
  3. Tap Connect Hardware Wallet.
From inside Phantom #
  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
  3. Go to Settings > Manage Accounts.
  4. Tap the + button in the upper right.
  5. Tap Connect Hardware Wallet.

Then, complete the connection:

  1. Allow Bluetooth access when prompted.
  2. Tap Connect your Ledger Device, select your device, and then tap Continue.
  3. Select the networks you want to connect.
  4. When prompted, open the correct app on your Ledger.
  5. Tap Select Accounts, select which addresses to connect, and then tap Continue.

After connecting, the selected Ledger accounts will appear in Phantom as new accounts.

Note: If you hold Bitcoin, the Ledger desktop app may show different balances than Phantom. Ledger generates new Bitcoin addresses automatically, so BTC may appear in different accounts. Learn more at Ledger Support.

Sign a transaction #

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app
  2. Start a transaction. For example, send a token.
  3. Unlock your Ledger and keep it nearby.
  4. Submit the transaction in Phantom.
  5. Tap Connect and wait for Bluetooth pairing.
  6. Confirm the transaction on your Ledger when prompted.

After you approve the transaction on your Ledger, Phantom submits it to the network.
