Resetting Phantom removes all wallet data from your device and returns you to the welcome screen. From there, you can restore an existing wallet or create a new one.
You may need to reset Phantom if:
- You want to remove all wallet data from your device. Phantom does not have a traditional log out button.
- You're experiencing persistent errors, transaction failures across multiple sites, or unexpected behavior after a recent update.
- Apps aren't connecting or responding correctly, and standard troubleshooting hasn't resolved the issue.
Before you reset
Resetting deletes all wallet data on your device. Back up your credentials first so you can restore your wallet afterward.
- Email wallet: make sure you have access to your Google or Apple account and remember your four-digit PIN.
- Recovery phrase wallet: make sure your Secret Recovery Phrase is written down somewhere safe and offline. Back it up in Settings → Security & Privacy → Show Recovery Phrase.

Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Click Reset App, then click Continue.
Mobile app
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Tap Reset App, then tap Continue.
After resetting
You'll be taken to the welcome screen. From there:
- Select I Already Have a Wallet to restore your existing wallet using your Google or Apple account and PIN, or your recovery phrase.
- Select Create a New Wallet to start fresh.
