Manage your accounts in Phantom

  • Updated

Your Phantom wallet can hold multiple accounts. Each account includes addresses on every supported network, so you can use different accounts for different purposes, like long-term holdings, predictions, perp trading, or collectibles.

To add a new account, import a wallet, connect a hardware wallet, or watch an address, see Add accounts to Phantom after initial setup. For more about how wallets, accounts, and addresses relate to each other, see About wallets, accounts, and addresses in Phantom.

See all the accounts in your wallet in one place. From here you can switch between them, rename them, rearrange them, or remove them.

Remove an account

Removing an account removes it from the Phantom app. It doesn't delete anything from the blockchain or affect your funds.

Before removing an account, back up any recovery phrase or private key associated with it. You will need these credentials to restore the account later.

Mobile app

  1. On the Home tab, tap your account name above your balance.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon next to the account you want to remove.
  3. Tap Remove Account.
  4. Confirm.

Restoring a removed account

If the account was created from the same recovery phrase, you can add it back using Add AccountCreate New Account. Repeat until the account reappears. For details, see Add accounts to Phantom after initial setup.

If the account was imported with a private key, you will need that private key to import it again. Phantom does not store imported private keys after the account is removed.

Remove Account is not available

You cannot remove the last remaining account in a wallet. If Remove Account is not visible, check whether the account is the only one in the wallet or is a special account type such as a hardware wallet.

Watch-only accounts

If the account is watch-only, removing it only removes the watched address from Phantom. It does not affect the underlying wallet or funds. You can re-add it later using Add AccountWatch Address.
