You can add multiple accounts to your existing Phantom wallet by creating new accounts, importing wallets, connecting hardware wallets, or watching addresses. Imported wallets remain separate and are not synced or merged. Each imported credential requires separate backup. New accounts can be created on mobile or browser extension. Hardware wallets like Ledger can be connected, and watch-only addresses can be added for monitoring without transaction capabilities.
Imported wallets do not sync automatically
When you import a Secret Recovery Phrase or private key into your wallet, it's added as a separate credential rather than merged with the wallet you imported it into. The two are not linked or synced, and your original wallet's recovery phrase or Google or Apple account doesn't protect the imported account. Your original wallet stays independent and isn't affected by being imported elsewhere.
Because each imported account is separate, it has its own backup. Keep a record of every recovery phrase or private key you import. If you reset Phantom and restore using only the destination wallet's recovery phrase or Google or Apple account, your imported accounts won't return, since Phantom doesn't merge or link wallets.

Create a new account
Creates a new multi-chain account derived from your existing Secret Recovery Phrase. Good for keeping things separate without starting over. If you have imported multiple recovery phrases, Phantom asks which one to derive the account from.
Note: If you imported an existing wallet and some of your previously used accounts aren't showing, see Accounts are missing after importing.
Mobile app
- On the Home tab, tap your account name above your balance.
- Tap the + button in the upper right.
- Tap Create New Account.
- Tap Create.
Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Add Account.
- Click Create New Account.
- Click Create.

Adds accounts from a Ledger hardware wallet. Connect by cable or Bluetooth.

Adds a set of accounts on all supported networks.
