Why haven't my tokens arrived

  • Updated

If you're expecting tokens from a transfer, swap, or exchange withdrawal, they may still be processing. This article helps you track them down.

If you purchased tokens using the Buy button in Phantom, see Buy tokens in Phantom.

Confirm the receiving address and network

Tokens sent to the wrong address or network can't be recovered. Before investigating further, verify:

  1. In Phantom, select Receive.
  2. Select the network where you're expecting the token.
  3. Confirm this is the exact address you provided to the sender or exchange.
  4. Check that the network matches (for example, Ethereum vs. Polygon vs. Base).

If the address or network doesn't match, the tokens were sent somewhere else. See Recover tokens sent to unsupported networks.

Check the blockchain explorer

Blockchain explorers show all transactions for your address, including pending ones that haven't appeared in Phantom yet.

  1. Copy your wallet address from Phantom (Receive → select token → copy address).
  2. Open the explorer for your network:

Paste your address and look for the incoming transaction.

Understand transaction status

If you have a transaction ID from the sender or exchange, search for it in the blockchain explorer. You'll see one of these statuses:

  • Pending: The transaction is processing. Wait for it to confirm.
  • Successful: The transaction completed. If tokens still don't appear in Phantom, continue to the next step.
  • Failed: The transaction didn't go through. Contact the sender or exchange.

Check hidden tokens

Phantom automatically hides spammy and scammy tokens.

Browser extension

  1. Go to Tokens → three-dot icon in the upper right → Manage Tokens.
  2. Look for the token there and turn it on.

Mobile app

  1. Go to Tokens → manage icon in the upper right → Manage Tokens.
  2. Look for the token there and turn it on.

For NFTs, see Manage hidden NFTs in Phantom.

Contact the sender or exchange

If the blockchain shows no incoming transaction, the transfer may not have been sent yet. Contact whoever sent the tokens:

  • Exchange withdrawal: Check your withdrawal history in the exchange app. If it shows complete but tokens aren't on the blockchain, contact the exchange's support.
  • Another wallet: Ask the sender to confirm the transaction ID and verify they used the correct address and network.

Phantom can't speed up transfers, recover tokens sent to wrong addresses, or access exchange accounts.
