You can create a new Phantom wallet by signing in with your Google or Apple account. During setup, you'll be prompted to set a four-digit PIN. Both your account and PIN are necessary to protect your wallet, and to restore it if you ever reinstall or reset Phantom and need to sign in again. Keep in mind that Phantom does not store these credentials for you, and won't be able to help you if you lose them.
A wallet created this way also has a Secret Recovery Phrase. We strongly recommend that you export it as an additional backup method. See View your recovery phrase or private keys in Phantom.
Before you start
Here's what you'll need:
- The Phantom app: download it for free on iOS, Android, or as a browser extension at phantom.com/download.
- A private moment. You will be setting your PIN, so make sure no one can see your screen.
- A Google or Apple account with a strong password and two-factor authentication enabled, as an additional layer of security for your wallet.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals. Spend a few moments to understand how your wallet is secured and how your funds are stored.

- Click Create a New Wallet, then Continue with Email.
- Click Apple or Google and follow the prompts to sign in.
- Set a four-digit PIN. You will use this PIN with your Google or Apple account to restore your wallet.

FAQ
What is the PIN used for?

Can I use Outlook email or other providers to log in to Phantom?
