You can claim a Phantom username while setting up your wallet or later in Settings.
Key things to know:
- Usernames are not case-sensitive (so if
@nameis taken,@NAMEis also taken). - Usernames can only contain letters and numbers, and cannot contain special characters.
- Usernames can be changed once every 14 days.
- Usernames are not available for Ledger wallets.
Claim during wallet setup
When you create a new Phantom wallet, you’re prompted to create a username during onboarding.
- On the Create Username screen, enter the username you want.
- Check whether it’s available.
- Select Continue.
Claim from settings
If you skipped username creation during setup, you can claim one later in Settings.
- Select your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Go to Settings and select Create your @username at the top.
- Enter the username you want.
- Select Continue.
Username guidelines
To help keep the community safe, a username may be revoked in the following cases:
- If a username impersonates public figures or organizations.
- If a username infringes on trademarks or intellectual property.
- If a username is created for squatting or resale.
- If a username contains inappropriate or profane language.
- If a username is used for phishing or scams.
