Verifying a token's contract address (CA) helps you confirm you're viewing the correct asset and avoid scams or copycats that reuse familiar names or logos.
Find the contract address
To find a token's contract address in Phantom, follow these steps:
- Open the token.
- Scroll down to the Mint or Contract field:
- Mint is used for Solana-based tokens.
- Contract is used for Ethereum, other EVM-compatible networks, and Sui.
- Copy the address.
You can also select More → View on [explorer] to open the token directly in a blockchain explorer.
Research with third-party tools
After you copy the CA, you can check it for potential risks. These tools highlight common red flags such as unlocked liquidity, suspicious permissions, or patterns associated with scams.
Solana tokens
Solsniffer
Solsniffer analyzes Solana tokens for scam indicators and assigns a risk score (Snifscore).
- Go to solsniffer.com.
- Paste the CA into the search field.
- Review the Snifscore and warnings.
Use extra caution when interacting with tokens that have a high-risk score.
RugCheck
- Go to rugcheck.xyz.
- Paste the CA into the search field.
- Review the risk analysis.
Ethereum and EVM tokens
Token Sniffer
Token Sniffer scans contracts for common scam patterns, including excessive fees, unlocked liquidity, and suspicious ownership settings.
- Go to tokensniffer.com.
- Paste the CA into the search field.
- Review the risk analysis.
Honeypot.is
- Go to honeypot.is/ethereum.
- Paste the CA into the search field.
- Review whether the token can be sold normally.
Tokens identified as honeypots may allow buying but restrict selling.
Sui tokens
Use the Nexa Sui Bot on Telegram to review a token’s contract address.
- Open Telegram and go to
@insidex_safety_checker_bot. - Send the CA to the bot.
- Review the results.
