How to use gasless swaps on Solana in Phantom

Swaps on Solana usually require a small amount of SOL to cover network fees (gas). If your wallet doesn’t have enough SOL, the swap would fail due to insufficient SOL balance.

With gasless swaps in the Phantom mobile app, you can complete the swap even with little or no SOL. Instead of SOL, Phantom will deduct the fee from the token you’re swapping from.

Note: Swaps involving Phantom Cash (in and out of your Cash account balance) are also gasless, but different conditions apply. See How to swap with Phantom Cash for more information.

Conditions for gasless swaps

Phantom automatically applies a gasless swap when all of the following conditions are met:

• You have less SOL in your wallet than is required to pay for this transaction.
• The token you're swapping from is a verified token with a market cap above $50K.
• The amount of the swap is at least $15.
• The slippage is set to Auto or at least 0.5%.
• The total fee doesn't exceed 10% of the trade value.
• You’re not using advanced options like:
  • Manual tip, where you manually enter a priority fee.
  • Exact output, which happens when you type the exact amount you want to receive in the You receive field (instead of entering the amount you want to swap).

Fees

Gasless swaps include a 1.5% total fee, automatically deducted from the token you’re swapping from.

The quote shown before you approve the transaction includes both fees.
