Migrate from Privy to Phantom

Some apps, such as Pump.fun and Jupiter, use Privy to create a wallet when you sign up with your email. This wallet is secured on your behalf, but you can export the private key and import it into your Phantom wallet for full control and visibility.

Export private key from Privy

To export your private key from Privy, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the app where your Privy wallet was created.
  2. Look for an export wallet option and copy your private key.
  3. Store the private key in a safe, offline place.

Import private key into Phantom

If you already have a wallet set up in Phantom, follow these steps:

  1. Select your profile avatar in the upper right.
  2. Select Add AccountImport Private Key.
  3. Enter a name for the account, select the network (Solana), and then paste your key.

If you're new to Phantom, follow these steps:

  1. On the welcome screen, select I already have a wallet.
  2. Select Import Private Key.
  3. Enter a name for the account, select the network (Solana), and then paste your key.
