How to use a Ledger wallet with the Phantom browser extension

This article shows you how to connect your Ledger Nano S, Nano S Plus, Nano X, or Stax to the Phantom browser extension.

Before you begin

• Install the Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin apps on your Ledger.
• Allow blind signing:
  • Allow blind signing in the Solana (SOL) app
  • Enable blind signing in the Ethereum (ETH) app

Connect your Ledger wallet to Phantom on the extension

1. Plug your Ledger into your computer, unlock it, and go to the home screen.
2. Open the Phantom browser extension.
3. Click your profile avatar in the upper-left corner.
4. Click Add Account (plus icon) in the lower-left corner.
5. Click Connect Hardware Wallet.
   
6. A new tab will open and Phantom will detect your Ledger device. Click Connect.
   
7. In a pop-up that opens, click your connected Ledger device, then click Connect, then after Phantom connects your Ledger, click Continue.
   
8. To connect your Ledger accounts to Phantom, select the network like Solana, and then when prompted, open the corresponding app (Solana) on your Ledger device. Repeat for each network where you want to connect your Ledger accounts.
   
9. After setup, return to Phantom to view your connected accounts and balances.
