Use a Ledger wallet with Phantom browser extension

Connect your Ledger Nano S, Nano S Plus, Nano X, or Stax to the Phantom browser extension.

Before you begin

  • Install the Solana, Ethereum (for all EVM-compatible chains), and Bitcoin apps on your Ledger.
  • Allow blind signing:
    • Solana: Open the Solana app on your Ledger → SettingsBlind signingEnable blind signing → set to Enabled.
    • Ethereum: Open the Ethereum app on your Ledger → SettingsBlind signingEnable transaction blind signing → set to Enabled.

Connect your Ledger

  1. Plug your Ledger into your computer and unlock it.
  2. Open the Phantom browser extension.
  3. Click your profile avatar in the upper-left corner.
  4. Click Add Account (plus icon) in the lower-left corner.
  5. Click Connect Hardware Wallet.
  6. A new tab opens and Phantom detects your Ledger device. Click Connect.
  7. In the pop-up, select your Ledger device, click Connect, then click Continue.
  8. Select a network (for example, Solana), then open the corresponding app on your Ledger when prompted. Repeat for each network.
  9. Return to Phantom to view your connected accounts.

Sign a transaction

  1. In Phantom, prepare your transaction (for example, send a token).
  2. Connect your Ledger via USB and unlock it.
  3. Open the correct app on your Ledger (for example, Solana for SOL transactions).
  4. Confirm the transaction on your Ledger when prompted.

Note: Make sure Ledger Wallet is closed—it can interfere with signing.
