If you forgot your Phantom wallet password, you can reset it in one of the following ways:
- By restoring your wallet using your Secret Recovery Phrase. You can do this in either the Phantom browser extension or the Phantom mobile app.
- By using your registered email and 4-digit PIN, if you created your wallet using Apple or Google login.
Important: No one at Phantom has access to your password or Secret Recovery Phrase. If you forgot both your password and your Secret Recovery Phrase, Phantom can’t help recover your wallet. Your funds will be permanently inaccessible.
Browser extension
- Open the Phantom extension.
- Click Forgot password.
- Click Reset & wipe app to start the recovery process. This will close the extension.
- Open Phantom again and click I already have a wallet.
- Click Import Recovery Phrase.
- Enter your Secret Recovery Phrase to restore your wallet.
Mobile app
Restore access using your Secret Recovery Phrase
- Uninstall the Phantom mobile app from your device.
- Reinstall the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the app.
- During setup, tap I already have a wallet.
- Enter your Secret Recovery Phrase to restore your wallet.
- Set up a new PIN or turn on device authentication.
On mobile, the Phantom app uses device-based authentication, such as Touch ID or Face ID. If you’ve lost access, you will need to reinstall the app to reset authentication.
Restore access using your email and PIN
If you created your wallet by logging in with Google or Apple, you can restore access using your registered email and 4-digit PIN. You don’t need the original device or app installation. As long as you can access your email and remember your PIN, you can recover your wallet.
