You can receive tokens to your Phantom wallet in a few ways. Whether you're withdrawing from an exchange, receiving from a friend, or transferring from another wallet, just share your wallet address or Phantom username with the sender.
| Receiving from | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Exchange | Your wallet address and correct network |
| Another wallet | Your wallet address or QR code and correct network |
| Phantom user | Your Phantom username (@handle) |
One address, all tokens. Each network has one address that receives all tokens on that chain. For example, your Solana address receives SOL, USDC, USDT, and any other Solana-based token. You don't need a separate address for each token.
Receive from an exchange
To receive tokens from an exchange, follow these steps:
- On the Home tab, select Receive. Or open any token and select Receive.
- Select the chain you want to receive on.
- Copy your address or display the QR code.
- In the exchange, start a withdrawal and paste your Phantom address.
- Select the same chain you chose in Phantom.
- Enter the amount and confirm.
Tokens appear after the transaction confirms. Some exchanges require additional processing time, and chains like Bitcoin may take longer.
Warning: Sending on the wrong chain can result in lost funds. Always verify the chain matches in both Phantom and the exchange.
Receive from another wallet
To receive tokens from another wallet, follow these steps:
- On the Home tab, select Receive. Or open any token and select Receive.
- Select the chain you want to receive on.
- Copy your address or display the QR code.
- Share the address or QR code with the sender.
- Ask the sender to select the same chain before sending.
Tokens appear after the transaction confirms. Chains like Bitcoin may take longer.
Warning: Sending on the wrong chain can result in lost funds. Always verify the chain matches on both Phantom and the sending wallet.
Receive from another Phantom user
Phantom users can send tokens to each other using usernames instead of wallet addresses.
To receive tokens, share your Phantom username with the sender. Your username looks like @handle and appears in the upper left of the mobile app or browser extension.
The sender selects Send, chooses a token, enters your username, and confirms.

Common issues
Tokens sent to an unsupported chain
If you sent tokens on an unsupported chain like BSC or Arbitrum, they may not appear in Phantom but are often recoverable. Use an EVM-compatible wallet like MetaMask or Trust Wallet to access them. See Recover tokens sent to unsupported networks.
