Receive crypto in Phantom

  • Updated

You can receive crypto in Phantom from an exchange withdrawal, another wallet, or a Phantom user. In all cases, the sender needs your wallet address or Phantom username, and must send on a network that Phantom supports.

Each network has one address that receives all tokens on that network. For example, your Solana address receives SOL, USDC, USDT, and any other token on Solana. You don't need a separate address for each token.

Deposit crypto from an exchange

  1. On the Home tab, select Receive.
  2. Copy your address or display the QR code. Underneath the address, Phantom shows which network this address can receive tokens on.
  3. In the exchange, start a withdrawal and paste your Phantom address.
  4. Select the same network you saw in Phantom.
  5. Enter the amount and confirm.

Tokens appear in your wallet after the transaction confirms. Some exchanges require more time, and networks such as Bitcoin may take longer.

Deposit from another wallet

  1. On the Home tab, select Receive.
  2. Copy your receive address or display the QR code.
  3. Share the address or QR code with the sender.
  4. On the sending side, select the same network.
  5. Confirm the transaction on the sending side.

Tokens appear in your wallet after the transaction confirms.

Receive from another Phantom user

Phantom users can send crypto to each other using usernames instead of wallet addresses.

  1. Share your Phantom username with the sender. Your username looks like @handle and appears in the upper left of the mobile app or browser extension.
  2. On the sending side, select Send in Phantom.
  3. Enter the receiving username.
  4. Confirm the transaction.

Tokens appear in your wallet after the transaction confirms.
