Fund your Cash account

  • Updated

There are three ways to add funds to your Cash account: swap tokens from your Phantom wallet, add money via bank account, debit card, or Apple Pay, or send a wire or bank transfer.

Funding option Speed Requirements
Swap tokens Near instant At least $1 of Solana tokens in your wallet
Bank, debit card, or Apple Pay Two to three minutes US only (except NY), identity verification
Wire or bank transfer Same day or next business day US only (except NY), identity verification

Swap tokens

  1. Open the Cash tab.
  2. Tap Add Cash at the bottom, then tap Quick Sell Crypto. Phantom shows all tokens in your currently selected account that are eligible for swapping.
  3. Choose a token and tap Max to sell all, or enter the amount (minimum $1).
  4. Confirm the transaction.

Important: Tokens on other networks such as Ethereum or Polygon cannot be used to fund your Cash account directly. Swap them to a token on Solana first.

Use a bank account, debit card, or Apple Pay

US checking accounts and debit cards have the highest success rates.

  1. Open the Cash tab.
  2. Tap Add Cash at the bottom, then tap Bank, Card, or Apple Pay.
  3. Enter the amount and choose your payment method. Not all card networks are supported. See Supported cards for more information.
  4. Review and confirm.

Remove a linked payment method

  1. Open the Cash tab.
  2. Tap Add Cash at the bottom, then tap Bank, Card, or Apple Pay.
  3. Tap and hold the payment method you want to remove.
  4. Tap Remove Payment Method.

Set up direct deposit

Send a wire or bank transfer to your Cash account for free, converted into CASH at a 1:1 rate.

  1. Open the Cash tab.
  2. Tap Add Cash at the bottom, then tap Direct Deposit.
  3. Copy your virtual account's routing number and account number.
  4. Add your virtual account in your bank's app or website.
  5. Send the deposit.

Funding limits

Deposits made with Bank, Card, or Apple Pay are subject to rolling limits using a seven-day trailing window, not a daily reset. Your available limit doesn't automatically refresh 24 hours after a deposit.

  • If your limit is $500 and you deposit $500 on day one, your full limit becomes available again on day seven.
  • If you deposit $100 each day for 5 days, your available limit gradually increases over the following days.

If you need to deposit a larger amount right away, use Direct Deposit instead.

Supported cards

Not all card networks are supported.
