Swap tokens with your Cash account

You can use your Cash balance to buy tokens on Solana (convert Cash to crypto), or sell tokens on Solana to fund your Cash account (convert crypto to Cash). Under the hood, this is swapping in and out of CASH held in your Cash account.

Before you swap

  • Swaps from stablecoins (USDC, USDT, USDG, PYUSD) into your Cash account are free. Swaps involving other tokens use standard swap fees.
  • Tokens on other networks such as Ethereum or Polygon cannot be swapped into your Cash account directly. Swap them to a token on Solana first.

Buy tokens with your Cash account

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. Open any token on Solana, then tap Buy.
  3. Confirm that the payment method in the lower right is set to Cash.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review and confirm.

Sell tokens into your Cash account

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. Open any token on Solana that you hold, then tap Sell.
  3. Confirm that the destination method in the lower right is set to Receive Cash.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review and confirm.

Move CASH from your wallet to your Cash account

If you hold CASH in your main Phantom wallet balance, follow these steps to move it to your Cash account.

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
  3. Under Add Cash, tap Sell Crypto.
  4. Next to CASH, tap Max to move all of it, or tap the icon next to Max to enter a custom amount.

Common issues

I swapped a token but it ended up in my Cash account

In rare cases, a token received after a swap may be incorrectly routed to your Cash account. The outgoing transfer may not appear in your activity feed.

There's a Recover Cash Assets option that you can use. To use it, you need to have at least $1 in your Cash account.

To recover your tokens, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
  3. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right.
  4. Tap SettingsRecover Cash AssetsWithdraw.

If you can't see Recover Cash Assets, contact Phantom Support.

I swapped a token into Cash but my balance didn't change

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app.
  2. On the Home tab, tap Cash.
  3. Pull down to refresh. Swaps are near-instant but may occasionally take a moment to reflect.
  4. Look for your transaction in the History section.
  5. If you can't find your transaction, check whether your original token balance was deducted. If it was not, the swap may not have completed. Then try the swap again.
  6. If the token was deducted but your Cash balance did not increase, contact Phantom Support.
