This article explains what to do if you can’t remember the 4-digit PIN used to unlock your Phantom wallet.
If you still have access to Phantom
If you’re still signed in to Phantom on at least one device, you can reset your PIN directly from settings.
- Go to Settings → Security & Privacy → Reset PIN.
- Create a new 4-digit PIN.
- Use this PIN to unlock Phantom going forward.
To reduce the risk of being locked out in the future, export and securely store your Secret Recovery Phrase.
- Go to Settings → Security & Privacy → Show Recovery Phrase.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
- Store the Secret Recovery Phrase in a secure, offline location.
If you ever forget your PIN again, the Secret Recovery Phrase can be used to restore access to the wallet.
If you don’t have access to Phantom
If you no longer have access to Phantom on any device, deleted the app, or lost your device and don’t remember your PIN, the wallet can’t be recovered.
Restoring access requires both the original 4-digit PIN and the Apple or Google account used to create the wallet. Access to the email account alone isn’t enough. A public address or public key can’t be used to restore a wallet.
Note: If you previously exported your Secret Recovery Phrase, you can import it to restore access to the wallet.
Phantom doesn’t store or reset PINs. Never share your PIN or Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone — not even Phantom Support.
