What to do if you lost or forgot your PIN

  • Updated

This article explains what to do if you lost or forgot the four-digit PIN for your Phantom wallet. Your PIN unlocks your wallet on a device. It doesn't replace your recovery phrase.

If you're logged out of Phantom

If you're logged out of Phantom on all devices and don’t remember your PIN, you won’t be able to restore access using that PIN.

To restore a wallet created with Apple or Google, you need:

  • Your Apple or Google account.
  • Your four-digit PIN.

Access to your email alone isn’t enough.

Phantom doesn’t store your PIN. There’s no way to retrieve it if lost.

If you're still logged in to Phantom

If you still have access to your wallet on any device, you can reset your PIN from settings:

  1. Go to SettingsSecurity & PrivacyReset PIN.
  2. Create a new four-digit PIN.
  3. Use the new PIN to unlock Phantom going forward.

Note: If you exported your Secret Recovery Phrase, you can restore your wallet by importing it instead of using your PIN. See Restore your existing Phantom wallet.
